Welcome to Congregation Beth Shalom!
Congregation Beth Shalom is an intimate, evolving, inter-generational congregation, located in Central Indiana. We were founded in 2010 with the goal of providing a small, warm community in which members are made to feel welcome and comfortable.
We welcome everyone to our Reform Jewish Family of Jews by birth and Jews by choice. Our congregation is dedicated to fellowship, worship and inclusion.

Upcoming Events

Worship
Congregation Beth Shalom offers diverse worship opportunities, including bimonthly Friday night services, Saturday Morning Torah Study, Tot Shabbats, and celebration of Sukkot, Simchat Torah, Hanukah, Purim, Passover and Tu Bishvat and Shavuot. Guest musicians and speakers as well as lay-participants, frequently enhance the worship services and help to keep the experience fresh. Unique services including our annual Shabbark and BBQ Shabbat have become favorite traditions.
Friday night services include Onegs and are often followed by dinners at local restaurants which we call “Daven and Dine.”
We hope you find our services welcoming, enjoyable and an effortless way to make new friends. Don’t want to come alone? No problem. Contact Mickie Gurvis at membership@bethshalomindy.org and she will be happy to have someone greet you and to be your host.
Please view our calendar for details on our next Erev Shabbat Service.
Membership
Congregation Beth Shalom was established with the premise that the congregants would be the driving force of the congregation. It is a special community where individuality is valued and everyone’s contribution appreciated.
As a small congregation, it is easy to meet new friends, know the Rabbi, and to get involved. Individuals are welcome to attend services or other activities in order to get to know the congregation.

Lifelong Jewish Learning
Talmud Torah
Congregation Beth Shalom offers religious school for students from kindergarten through B’nai Mitzvah training and Confirmation.
Religious school students meet twice monthly, Hebrew students meet twice weekly, and Confirmation students meet once weekly.
Adult Education
Adult education is an integral part of congregational life at Beth Shalom. It is designed to expand congregants’ knowledge of Jewish culture, worship and Hebrew texts through formal and informal courses and programming.
Topics in Jewish history, Hebrew language study, Torah study, modern ethical challenges and cooking are all examples of the diverse content offered.

Congregation Beth Shalom is a member of the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ.ORG), Women of Reform Judaism, (WRJ.ORG), and the Religious Action Center (RAC.ORG).
